Forest Linear
With a view to improving the urban integration of the ring road, a tree belt known as a ‘linear forest’ is being created on the derelict areas on either side of this motorway. For the whole of Paris Nord-Est, the linear forest represents 24 hectares, 4 of which are within the ZAC perimeter.
The forest is equipped with a ditch that collects rainwater from the riverside blocks and a cycle path between Porte d'Aubervilliers and the Saint-Denis canal. The ditch marks the boundary between a wild, inaccessible area and a landscaped area open to walkers.
