2 steel
prefabricated panels with 4 spindles or struts. The spindles are hinged and
sprung where they connect to the side panels, allowing an independent movement
of each other. The installation of this box in the trench is either done
progressively (the trench walls are supported at all time) with the excavator
bucket, or after the digging, depending on the soil conditions; in that case 6
meters deep can be reached.
For removal,
the trench box is pulled out, as the trench is backfilled.
Ideal to use
in poor soil conditions, this "dig and push" system allows low vibration
installations, provides soil support for the excavations, adjacent structures
and existing services or utilities, and minimizes trench width. This system is
installed from the top down and removed from the bottom up.
These steel
sections are cold rolled and their thickness varies from 3 to 8mm. Some special
KD lapping sheet piles can be used with the Krings guiding frames KKP.
